A week later I finally receive my upgrade, unfortunately I gave up by then and decided I've had enough of shared hosting altogether and went with a dedicated host from. Contact customer support after 72hrs, told I should have my upgrade soon. Contact customer support, and I'm told they won't even look at my support ticket for at least 72hrs. Toughed it out for a month battling lag, so I decided to upgrade from the 4gb plan to the 6gb plan. Multiple contacts to customer support after that, and eventually 7 days after I paid for the IP I received it. Contact support again, say they'll escalate the ticket and I should have it in 24hrs. Contact support and I'm informed they can't do anything for at least 48 hours. So I contact customer service, who informs me I must submit a trouble ticket to get my IP as they do not assign one by default, even though nothing is mentioned about that when you actually pay for it. First issue was at purchase I paid for a dedicated IP. I had a server with them for 2 months and the customer service was horrible. TL DR: I bought servers from a scam company and they have not answered any of my tickets, have not refunded me and on top of everything charge me automatically for a server I do not want. I would MAYBE have been okay with using Shockbyte if it weren't for their completely appalling support. But no! Instead they charged me automatically for a service I do not want. This led me to believe that if I didn't pay during this period, my server would be terminated. Additionally, they have what's called a 24-hour "grace period" according to their ToS, meaning you have 24 hours to pay your invoice after it should really be terminated. Even though it seems on their website as if they only charge you automatically if you've set up automatic payments with PayPal, they charged me automatically using just my credit card information. I thought it would be terminated automatically after me not paying my invoice, but PSYCHE. My server expired today, and I should've cancelled yesterday. They save your credit card information seemingly without your consent. On top of this, when you buy something from a webpage and type in your credit card information, most ask you if you want them to save you credit card info, right? Again, not Shockbyte. I have NEVER experienced such ridiculously horrible support. It's completely absurd, and the fact that they have an option to pay for "fast-tracking" your ticket doesn't make it a lot better. This ticket has since been closed TWO times automatically (I guess because they can't imagine a ticket going two weeks without being resolved) and a MONTH later, they still have not replied. They have a 24-hour refund policy, so I opened a support ticket within 24 hours to ask for a refund. With other websites, you might assume the payment wouldn't go through when an error message pops up on the confirm payment page. I had selected two servers accidentally and was about to confirm my payment, when I got an error at the confirm payment page. When ordering my service, I firstly accidentaly ordered two servers. We tried contacting them about the lag and what to do about it, and got no helpful answer.īut more importantly, they WILL steal your money if they get the chance. For a 5gb with up to about 5 concurrent players, the amount of lag was completely unreasonable. I bought a 5gb Minecraft server from them a month ago, and even though the server worked, it had unproportional lag.
